i am lucky to have some really great conversations, and it is not too much to say that they have shaped who i am today. i am recapping some of the conversations here so that i can always revisit, get inspired and look forward.

– what makes a great teacher to you?
– probably one that can speak the same language with the students. language is basically everything, from prior knowledge, empathy, motivation.

– do you see a common trait of who should be applying for PhD in Ed? i mean – other from working in academia?
– perseverance, inquisitiveness; goal-oriented. the crave to be called Doctor ;). having the drive/motivation to become a better version of yourself: a sharper/ more critical thinker and a stronger writer and speaker

– it’s tough, let’s just not do it.
– but we are smart people. we will figure out a way.

the girl: – urggg, i want to have a cat so bad!
the boy: – humhh, but you are so busy, how are you going to take care of the cat?
the girl: – it’s not a question honestly, i just need some empathy, not solution.
the boy: – oh right you mentioned it. ok let me do that again, the cat, hah, aren’t they the cutest?
the girl: – there you go and yes they are super cute!!!
