It’s finally FRIYAY ! this week’s video selection is fairly easy for me because, frankly, I’m not on social media all that much due to health issues. I still get 38 videos, but many of them are not educational content, but rather entertainment content (and I’m not sure if knowing about a new pokemon is educational or entertainment content, humhh – may be both?).
In terms of video views, I’m seeing a similar pattern to last week. The video with the fewest views has around 5000, while the video with the most views has nearly 5 million (in just 5 days – how crazy!).
again, yo refresh your memory, my top three videos of the week are based on the following criteria:
(1) Emotion – videos that evoked the most emotion in me when watching them
(2) Content– video with the best stuff that made me go “urg, I wish everyone knew about it”
(3) Production – video with the best production. this may act as a great reference for a future instructional design project.
ok, without further ado, let’s jump into it again! oh wait – the full shortlist can be found here.
EMOTION:
- Creator: Jason Pargin

- What’s interesting? In a time when many of us start to worry about our “own legacies”, i found the video’s message—that we may end up going no where what we have despite our best efforts—deeply thought-provoking. Sometimes, i found the notion of being nothing more than dust in an infinite universe makes me more determined to keep moving forward, even if it leads to nothing.
CONTENT:
- Creator: AutoPod

- What’s interesting? This is excellent news for IDs who works with videos or podcasts! The https://www.autopod.fm/ plug-in assists in automating the “split and delete” process like a scam! I tried it personally on a trial plan for 30 day and it saved me at least fifty percent of the editing time!
PRODUCTION:
- Creator: Ye Kung Ong – The President of Singapore
- Link to content: HERE
- What’s interesting? On what universe do we observe a political leader becoming a Tiktoker? Singapore! In the meantime, this video also won this week’s production quality award. Effective attention-grabbing, effective use of icon, and good content chunks. The only thing I could possibly improve is the text’s contrast. In certain scenes, the text is highly integrated with the medical consultant.
That’s all for this week! What’s your comment? Any favorite content that you want to share this week?
